Haha so true. I plan on doing a porsche style LED foglight. Where there are four leds or so in a square pattern.

Ooh I think the Prius does too!! There you go, become a Prius. No one will make fun.

Haha the prius does do that and I think some civics have it now as well. I just like the look and think it would complement some new headlights very well. Plus people will know it's not a prius by the sound I make coming down the road haha.

Forgot to do the fuel filter today. But made up for by doing other stuff and taking stuff off.

It ended up being too streaky so about $45 down the drain...

It all came off in one piece which was nice. Really nice.

Air filter was cleaned and oiled over night. It's red again. Picture was before.

Cleaning, washing, waxing, and putting on rain deflectors ensued.

Looks like you had some overspray. If I ever do my roof I'll probably do a gloss vinyl.

Windshield cowl won't stay down...didn't work with double sided outdoor tape. Contact cement is what we are trying now. Held down by a piece of wood we use to hold fishing poles and jars of homemade salsa and pickles to weigh it down. How country/classy. Haha. What can you do.

That's the next plan of action. Clay bar took all that overspray off. Wasn't easy either. Glossy vinyl or painting it is up next. Going for vinyl cause I could take it off in a couple years if I got tired of it. Where paint is permanent but would look better. Decisions decisions.

Agreed! We almost got my buddy some new wheels from pull apart. They were some motegi 6 or 7 spokes and we're in decent condition. The yard only wanted 30 bucks a piece for wheel and tire but he didn't want to pull the trigger and I didn't have the right wrench for the lug nuts. Apparently the mk3 tire iron doesn't work.

I appreciate the love guys! Yeah I think the way its going to go, I will have the white SVT's ready before the winter ends. So they will be sitting in my room, mocking me whenever I see them...

Lots of time and work goes in to making it look like this. Today was about from 12-6, with breaks here and there. I can't stand when the car looks dirty like it did this week...Christmas party tomorrow to drive it too.

Pictures were grainy this time...odd.

Well[idea]...the windshield cowl looks to be working a little bit at least...It isn't up and high and looks like some spots are holding. Anything is better than what it was before. I would wash the car and water would puddle up on my passenger floor mat[facepalm]. Now I play the waiting game again. Needs to be fixed before the snow gets heavy on it.

Cruise control is going to cost me $185 IF I decide to put it in over break. Its from the same company I bought my foglight from. All OEM with serial numbers and dates on them. It isn't a need, only a want. Highway driving gets old after a while. Just set the speed and go.

I read in another thread that our seats are cross welded...meaning not on same side, and break over time. Mine is starting to get loose and I hear a squeak here and there..I guess I should save up for new seats, the leather ones at the yard are a lighter gray, which would match the dash, i'd like to have dark gray or black though[thumb]

No update on the wheels, might start on them next week, work permitting. Bends, sand, paint. Done. Will take a couple weeks I hope. If not I will want to put them on as soon as possible.

Puddle lights are still at a standstill till I can figure out how to run them from the door to the car itself. Options are
-drill a new small hole on each side. Through car and door.
-pick up some connectors from the junkyard and try to wire them through.
--go up through the windshield cowl and through the cabin filter (not likely)

Any other ideas are welcome. Once I get this part figured out then I will be able to run them the rest of the way. Anything that is exposed is going to have a lining around it, like fuel line, to keep it from being exposed. i have to worry about it bending and breaking from the constant opening and closing of the door.

The AVS Rain Deflectors fit correctly, and yet they don't. Down by the mirror You can see the tape from a lower angle. I would be safe just to cut some off to raise it a little or just shave some of the tape off? The passenger side window won't go up all the way either. When I pull it up, hand on each side. It comes up at an angle. IT also showed me that my window is off of its track too. So i will have to go through and take it all apart to look at it... hope its an easy fix. The window rattles when it is down and you close the door, it has been going on for a long time. Ideas on what it could be?

This post covers everything that I can think of.

Found the issues with my window. Thanks Gav for helping me take the foam off.
So everything is off and taped up above. You can see where the window rests, and how it is not resting on it...hint number one.
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1418428863.369856.jpg

Hint number two...these peices in the bottom of the door...
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1418428980.358955.jpg

Hint #3...the lifter on the window doesn't move up with the cable. It just sits there because of the broken pieces...to the pick yard I go.
