Having one of these heads will get rid of the valve seat dropping issue with spi's?
If so, I will likely be interested. I would love to not have to worry about that crap happening to mine.

have they fixed it in 2004? or it's still has a chance of seat dropping?

if u have an spi its a possible problem.

would these be necessary for a turbo? plus, sorry if i sound like an idiot, but how much might it be to get them installed somewhere? i dont have a garage or accepatable tools right now and i was looking at a turbo application for my spi down the road.

Could you please answer my questions on post 6 please Tom.
I may need one of these heads after hitting something on the
highway the other night and busting up my radiator causing my
engine to overheat. Not sure yet if the head is fine, but I may
get one anyway to avoid having to deal with valve seats dropping in the future.

He said they have the updated seats...that's the only assurance you can have. The updated seats were supposed to solve the valve drop issue.

I can't recall anyone who has had this issue stating specifically if it was with the updated seats but I would bet they weren't.

They will be the same or better than your current head.
