Buddy asked me to help him change the plugs in his 02' SPI. He's a bit car challenged (seriously asked me "There's 4 of them in there?"). I caught the sticky about sparkplugs for the SPI and I am wondering if anyone has any recent suggestions as the sticky was form a while ago. Outside of the motorcraft's, what go you guys suggest, autolites, ngk, etc.? Tq specs and gap spec?

I only ask becasue I am used to doing work on a duratec and don't know if there is a difference (other than hearing how awful the SPI engine is from a lot of members).

Just go with the standard MC or Autolites. I used platinums, no need for anything more exotic.
Maybe a set of lifetime plug wires too.
