I am sure I am not the only one who has wondered or has asked this!

What other for vehicles can I pull an SPI head and/or maybe a couple pistons from? Cost is a factor and I am not interested in a ZETEC or SVT swaps thank you. Just want to get it up, running, and maybe sold. Valve seat droppage has damaged head and 2 pistons. Engine is already out and cylinder block walls look good. After looking at pick your own part junkyards around me a focus seems hard to come by and if they exist are gutted almost completely. So what other ford can I pull what I need from ? Even if I can't find a head , I am sure I should be able to grab a couple pistons. Right?

Any info would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for you responses!

The Pistons should work from a Escort SPI (97-03 4 door) Maybe, I know there are small changes from the Escort block to the Foci Block, the compression ratio is slightly higher in the Foci, but that could be from head differeces.
You have no other choice but to use a Focus SPI head, since it's motor mount is bolted to the head, where in the Escort it's bolted to the block.

Well I was planning on taking piston and rod.
Think the rods are same too ?
If not how do you press um?
How do you measure a piston accuratly?

!!Anyone wanna just trade their working focus for my broken one!!
Come on think of it as a project car :p [joke]

I think you should just keep calling around for wrecker/salvage yards, it will be easyer and maybe even cheaper to just throw that motor away and replace is with a complete new (well, used but good) motor. I know I've only paid $300 for a SPI with 60k on it.
