I replaced the stock speakers with some 220w pioneers and was wondering if i should change the wiring? I wasn't sure, but the stock ones are only 25w, so i think different wire might be appropriate. Thanks for anyones help...

If you are just running thespeakers off of a HU, then the stock speaker wire is fine.

if not, make sure you get the right gauge and resistance wire. I dunno about cars, but when I used the wrong wire in my home stereo ste-up, it got totally [][][][][][] up

I have a 2ch amp running my interiors and I ran 12 gauge from the amp to each speaker.

I have 12ga as well. It's overkill, but if you're gonna run new wire, you might as well go over.

as stated, if you are only using the HU, then the stock wire is all you need

I have a six channel Infinity powering my system and am using stock wiring for the speakers. I think when I was doing research on whether to replace the wiring or not, someone mentioned I was right at the edge of wanting new wiring or now (my amp is 56x4 for the four speakers).
