Questions!

-I am stripping my sound system inside and want to redo it all. If I get all new door speakers along with new wires for them, should I go the extra way and wire them through a seperate amp, and then run my subs through another amp. I heard of people doing that. Is the sound any better? Or am I just wasting time and money?

Let me know what you think!!!!!

If you have the money to run 2 amps, 1 for the subs and 1 for the doors then do that. Basically then what you can do is most 4-channel amps have a high and low crossover, so you can remove all the bass out of the door speakers and just use the subs for bass allowing to run more overall power and volume. Plus with an amp, the signal should be cleaner than just off of a head unit.

So in short form, if you have the money and time to run a 2 amp setup, go for it.

Or you can run a single 4ch amp system with the front 2ch driving the front speakers, and the rear 2ch bridged for the sub. Then power the rear speakers off the head unit at a lower volume for rear fill only.

This is the easier and lesser expensive approach.
