I was driving down the road tonight and my interior got real dim and once I came up to a stop light my rpm's dropped real fast and kinda stumbled like it was going to stall and then my battery light came on.. once I got moving again the light went off.. and once I stopped and the rpms dropped fast again and the light came back on...

help please! before I go and buy an alternator tomorrow if its not that..

This seems like an alternator to me...

Check the pigtail going into the alternator. See if there are any loose wires coming out from the connecter.

very simple solution here bud. whether you know it or not there is either an advance autoparts, autozone, napa, or o'reilys autoparts somewhere near you and i mean probably walking distance. im pretty sure the first 2 do free alternator and battery tests. take the car up there and test it. if its a problem with either get it replaced. if both are good then we will go from there
