well it seems since the eibach does not make dampers for the zx3 of the 06 yet, i might go for the hr cup kit. is it low? I do not really think I will put rims. I have 15s steelies on my zx3 se. Now of later I want to put rims, let's say rota slipstream 15x7 will this rub? Will it be ok? I know this is a low, but not sure how low the car it is as of now, maybe 5.5 inches? My pontiac vibe was lowered with tien s tech and was 2.3 fron and 2.0 back and was still room to lower it. I do not plan of going bigger then 15, or maybe stock 16s from a ses. What you guys think? I love to have a car that handles like crazy. My vibe was ok... I do not think anything is rough, since I drove a vw golf with 4 inch drop and loved it. Also a acura TL with 3 inch drop and was fine. I still would want to add the read anti roll bar.

So since eibach sport system kit plus does not work, I can get the HR cup kit with an addition of the rear anti roll bar. I need input fast, since I want to finish my car and leave it at that, since I will get married and all my money will go into the marriage...

Are you thinking the kit will drop the car 3-5.5 inches? If so, I think you're mistaken. The guys with the sportline springs (2-2.2in. drop) fill up pretty much all fender gap. I highly discourage anything more than that (major drivability issues). As for rubbing, I dont think 15's would rub on anything, unless of course your dropping a focus 2.5+inches, then even atv tires woul rub.

Great look, next to nothing in terms of fender gap. I dont suggest going any lower on the focus

Well, I want the sporlines, but just read that they do not make it for the 06 focus zx3. I want the whole sportline plus kit. How is the HR cup kit? to low?

Keep in mind, if these were developed on the 00-04, they still probably wont fit. But I'm not sure if there is one already out for the 06. they say the h&r cup kit lowers the focus 2.5-2.75 inches. If you ask me, its too low, but if anyone has any expirence with these, as i do not, please help out.

Also I was only usig the sportlines as a reference for fender gap/look with the 2/2.2inch drop

go to tirerack.com and they have a definite list of what fits the 2006. they've got springs, (no dampers, highly recommended to replace) the cup kit (2.5in. drop) for $610, and 2 coilover systems, both height adjustable, but only 1 can adjust the damper rate. The cheaper coilovers are around $900 (1.25in-2.5in drop). This is the range you probably want. BUt if you search around for pics and like the look and can handle drivability problems, by all means get the cup kit.

I love a car to handle like crazy.... The ride is ok if it stiff. I do not want problems later on, and the cali road are not perfect.

i was thinking more along the lines of returning alignment and that sort of stuff back to spec. There are camber kits out there (at least for the 00-04/5?). Any coilover system will make it handle awesome (at the track). Rubbing could be a serious problem at 2.5"+ of drop. I cant say from expirience, but 15's with a smaller side wall will reduce the chance and amount of rubbing. I can almost say there WILL be rubbing if the roads aren't perfect.

But ultimatly, its your choice. If you can live with it, go for it.

well, i got the new part number for the sport lines directly from eibach. no damper yet, since they are testing it in germany. oh well... But they said the bilstein shocks should work just fine...

well pluck them... bilstein does not make anything for the 06 focus, so HR cup kit is for me. I am tired of this bs... I want it now... Any cheap places? The lowest I saw was 589 plus shipping (around 40 bucks) not bad...

thats the cheapest Ive seen in the quick time I was looking before (for the 06's). I didnt see them under 600. Good luck with it, hope it works great for you.
