so it has been about 300 miles now since i have had my short ram on now. i made it from the stock tubbing and it has been working great. however if i gun it, or even get on it a little bit from a light. it feels like the car is lugging out a little. feels like there is to much air and then the car just takes off. anyone else have this issue at all.

Has something to do w/ how you assembled it. Could be do to length or diameter, how far the maf is to the filter or end. Or it could be the filter itself. I have the Steeda sri w/ no issues. At 1st I installed it & ran it w/o a tune & it ran great.

so this may be a stupid question but i am just learning all of this lol and have not covered it in the school im going to yet but is there a way to tune the computer to tell i it is getting more air or do i need a different MAF. i kept the guard for the bottom of the fender where the original air filter m out im wondering if i need to run the new filer to the fender well and then place the MAF back in about the same spot it as before if that would help as well.

You cannot make changes like this with out effecting how the air flows the MAF , only way to correct the changes is with a tune correcting the fueling

I believe Tom's tune runs $399, that gets you the handheld tuner, and free updates as long as you stay NA.

Is it better to get the intake on and the header and exhaust first before buying that. Or do you just retune it every time you do something. 399 is a lot of money for me right now lol I'm a full time student with 4 kids.

Very true turbo(tom) that's what I was thinking. I already have a muffler coming should actually be here today. I'm gonna cut the stock one put and put in this magnaflow that's about the same size. Also I have done the lunch box cut out as well.
