Does anyone know if the Shifter cables from like a Zetec Will work on a SVT. Maybe if you change the end tips of them out.

My SVT broke what I think its called the retainer (where the cables attach to the transmission bracket), and I just wanted to take a short cut and just fix them for now Until I buy new ones.
