its a 3/8's inner diameter inside the thread, and 7/16 from the threads out, so ur gonna need a 7/16 size.

Ok, I have a really really hard block of cheese and I want to tapper a hole so I can use it as a shift knob I'll need to buy a 7/16 tapper thingy to do that, right?
