Fixing my girlfriend's 2003 Focus SE 2.3L
It won't shift into overdrive anymore. Just revs. It has a CEL and I had the code pulled: shift control solenoid malfunction

I guess I will have to get the code read again to see which one it is - when I called ford they said there were 3 of the same solenoids in there... (A seems to be the usual culprit right?)

My question is: Which solenoid is which? I have not seen inside the transmission yet, but I want to get an idea of what I am in for once I pull this thing apart.

Are the solenoids labeled A, B, C inside the transmission?

Thanks. Unfortunately the idiot at ford must have sold me the wrong one. I asked for solendoid "A" but he gave me one of the big ones on the other side and the how-to indicates its the small one with the white wire...
