Car is showing the battery icon quite a bit and and car is stalling. After some starts it doesnt stall at all and others it might stall 2 or 3 times.

Checked the battery- its fine. Checked the alternator- fine too.

What else could it be!?

Just had a new valve installation and timing done, yet it's running really
good-smooth otherwise.

This is the "dropping RPMs in neutral while coasting" problem, I'm guessing.

Yes -thats it , even while its warmed up. So, this is the same issue that others have?

Man, why does this start to happen only after I fix something else?

Anything I can check?

If the battery light turns on but the engine sounds normal, it's most likely the 3-wire harness that plugs into the alternator that's the problem. You'll have to cut off the connector and the inline fuses and replace it with a "alternator pigtail repair kit."

Is this a DIY kit? Can I replace the 3 wire harness or is this method best?

The wiring pigtail should be soldered and wrapped with shrink tubing. Otherwise it's pretty simple.
