So on Saturday on my way back to work from my lunch break, my car started to BOG REALLY REALLY BAD, all the way up to about 40mph. I had one my of buddies test drive it, he said it seems like a vacuum leak...could not find one. Check engine light came on for MAF/MAP, so I took it to the shop this morning to have them check it out...i checked all i could for a loose hose, TB sticking, leak in my CAI, I alone couldnt find it. This is where i feel like a complete MORON, they took off the TB and the TPS was BROKEN OFF THE throttle body somethng I COULD HAVE EASILY SEEN but didn't!!!! The screws that are predrilled into teh TB broke and the base of the sensor and the sensor came off, cant get screws out at all!! So now my TPS is GHETTO TAPED on my TB LOL! until I can buy a new TB (could but its holiday season), it's a 67mm CFM TB too :( Shop price for a TB stock is 194, (best ford said they can do) so i taped her up and headed out im thinking about using that jB wield stuff for high temp ;) stick that effer on there for good but i dunno....anyway just wanted to share my issue kind of embarassin we even changed the spark plugs thinkin that was it (needed to be done anyway). Wish i would have checked BEHIND THE TB! :( Just some info for anyone who experiences the same issue! thanks!

JB that thing and forget about it. Or, sell it to someone who is ok with rigged parts, and get this guy's stocker for peace of mind.

If the heads of the screws broke, you can get a removal kit from just about any hardware store. Otherwise, do what N20 Focus said above. Drill and tap new holes.

luis, sorry to hear that....with the exception of that, how do you like the 67mm?

and give mike a call at hilbish. if u send him the core back, he may be able to get you a bored one to 65 for only 50 to 70 bucks. that is what we were tying to get done, but hes had an issue with the machine shop. either way, he may be able to get it to you for cheap.

don't do it yet!!! go to the hardware store, tell them that you need a drill bit to pull out a broken screw. they'll get you the right size.

i went to the hardware store and i ran into one of those bits for about 5 dollar. that should get you drilling into the stud of the screw and then throw it in reverse and them wA-LA!
