I drive a 2003 Focus SVT with a Zetec 4 cylinder 2.0L engine it. My Serpentine belt striped and i had to replace it. Got the damaged belt off and cannot figure out how to put the new belt on. From the routing diagrams I have seen for other SVTs mine has another pulley that the belt has to slip onto. Has anyone else run into this problem or is my Focus the only one?

Any help is appreciated.

All SVT Focus and Zetec Focus have the same timing belt routing

You have 2 cam gears , 1 idler , 1 idler/adjuster and the crank pully

He has serpentine belt issues, not timing belt.

It seems like the #3 and #2 pulleys on the diagram are lower on my car. Im pushing the belt tensioner up as far as it goes trying to slip it around the #5 pulley. Idk if I just have a special engine or what but this is alot harder than it should be.

make sure you got the right belt some auto parts stores have the wrong belt listed for the svt, its too short. bring in the old one if you can to match it up. heres the gates part number you need k060832

yep you probably got wrong belt alot of auto part stores dont carry svt or dont realize it

Finally figured it out, thanks alot guys. Turned out that all I need was another person to help me out. Damn belt was a pain in the ass to get on lol
