Heres the story:

My girlfriend inherited her moms 00 Focus LX w/SPI that I have already done a bevy of work on.

It was a car purchased at auction, and I am 100 percent positive the car was in an accident, even though the carfax comes up clean. The seatbelt on the drivers side is stretched and there is practically no tension on it.

Its safe to say the tensioner popped when the car got hit. Ford quoted her something like $300 to fix the belt/tensioner. My question is whether A) I can just get a new one from ANY year focus in a junkyard, B) If I just plug it in with no issues (aka. the numbers on the belt have to match the airbag or something like that).

Can anyone verify this for me?

Thanks guys!

Any part on the '00-'04 focus are the same. As far as seatbelts go that is. Go for it, save some money.
