Is it humanly possible, and if so how much is it gonna set me back to tweak up my atx so it can deal with 200+ hp?

yeh iv talked to him and your best off getting another used tranny, and having it built, then swap them, teh rebuild will cost you around $1-2k

Speaking of trannys, does anyone know how much whp's a stock 5-speed manual transmission(MTX75 or IB5) can handle [?]

FYI: 130 at crank (or flywheel?) equates to about 110-115 at wheels (which is the number they're using john..hence Whp)

even less, especially on an automatic, most MTX foci make around 100whp stock but relatively around 108tq as well

the atx breaks down with over 145 lbs of torque and about 130 whp...

the mtx-75 can hold alot.. way beyond belief... i have heard.. off record, that it can hold up to 450 whp... nice!
