I have seen this done on the Archived Section. I thought it looked cool so I finally gathered the courage to mess around with my paint. Sorry for the Low Res pics. Cell Phone camera's still bite the big one! In case you can't figure out what I did... Just along the bottom of the front air dam is now black. It really sets it off!!!!

Here is a HOW TO on it, don't think there is one for a standard bumper but I'm sure you can figure it out based on the HOW TO.

There is a write-up under the Archive Section for the SAP. I couldn't tell you how the standard front end would look with the black stripe. It is very easy.

1. Tape off all areas not being painted.

2. 400-800 grit sandpaper to remove paint and top layer. I didn't get all the way down. Just mostly to scuff deep.

3. Use acetone to clean up all the dust (be careful with this stuff. It will damage exposed paint and is not good to breathe or handle without protectrion!)

4. Primer 3-4 layers (you can sand the primer if needed 1000-2500 grit)

5. Paint w/ Flat Black, sand as need after drying (wet sand only 1500-2500 grit)

6. Clear coat 2-3 layers

7. After 24-48hrs use a very mild rubbing compound to even out the surface.

8. wax it up!!!

Thanks for all the comments! they are always welcome. As per most requests, I guess I will paint my headlights. I was debating along either black or color matrch but I guess the black will help the front end stand out rather than adding more silver.
