Im not sure if this is the right thread or not but I had a question that will prob be easy for you guys to answer? I have just a stock zx3 and when I get up to about 70mph my car is running about 3000rmps, is that normal? My wife has a malibu maxx and it is only at about 2000 rpms when shes going 75. I know there two totally different cars so I was just curious.

yeah that is probably about right. do you have an automatic or 5 speed? the only things that are going to change the mph/rpm are:1. tires, 2. gears in tranny, 3. guages being inaccurate.

that is exactly where the RPM's should be at 70mph. her malibu doesnt have a 4 cylinder. she doesnt have to pull as many rpms to go fast. she had more power.

Ok thanks guys, Im glad its all correct thanks for the quick replies. I figured the fact that mine was a 4 cylinder and hers is a v6 had something to do with it but wasnt sure why..
