I have a 2007 Ford Focus SE with a 2.0 Liter Engine and I'm having an issue:

Recently had new brakes installed on the front of the car, and afterwards the transmission mount replaced. I noticed every time I put it into park the car would Jump/Knock forward. I also noticed that when I push my foot on the brake all the way down, the jump is less substantial.

I am just wondering if anyone has encountered problems like this before and what I should do about it. The transmission shifts smoothly when accelerating and all speeds, it doesn't make any form of a slip and over all the car runs great. It has a little over 100,000 Miles, and have always maintained my car.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Is this always, or only when you are parked on an incline?

How's the idle speed?

The USUAL rocking you get when changing from "in gear" to park would be worse & MUCH more noticeable if the idle was higher than normal....

Luck!

(and of course, putting the brake on will minimize but NOT eliminate this feeling..)
