My car has been making this weird clanking noise, at times when i pull out a driveway, and sometime when im just driving. def not tie rods, I just had it changed on all of them and not strut bearings, they are new.

What I did notice is on the front driver side wheel, when I rock the wheel left to right, it makes this clanking sound when i push it hard left. Also while parked, when I rock the steering left to right, it makes the same clanking sound. What can this be and how much is this going to cost me labor wise. I've heared it's most likely a rack and pinion job which is suppose to be a real expensive job. PLEASE HELP...

check your lugnuts, and if they're tight then try pulling off the wheel and checking all the front end.

i heard a clunk this weekend and the only thing i could find was the rotors (non-OEM) that aren't bolted on, so they shift a bit and might be the source of the clunk.
