Just bought a used 2003 focus station wagon.

I live in Mexico; so I am not sure that the 2003 model we have here had all of the features available in the USA.

I would like to replace the RADIO/CD PLAYER that comes form factory, for a MP3 capable unit.
However, I don't know if the space in the dash is a 1 1/2 or 2 DIN space; or if it is something else.

Can anyone calrify this for me?

Can anyone suggest a good AM/FM/CD/MP3 unit that fits this vehicle with the least possible modifications?

THANK YOU.

It's not quite a double-din...but a little larger than a 1.5 DIN also I think. I could be completely wrong on this though. There are several CD players with MP3 capability out on the market now...practically all of them. But I have had excellent success with Alpine CD/MP3 players. Great sound quality and great looking HU's. You will have to buy a dash kit or buy from crutchfield.com (comes with dash kit) but they are no trouble to install, just snaps in place.

STOCK STEREO REPLACEMENT

Thank you.
What can you tell me about replacing speakers on the doors?
Are the panels diffcult to remove and put back in place?

Once again, thank you.
