Is there a simple plug and play lighting solution for keeping the current tails as is (maybe the reverse light as well) but solely replacing the current bulbs with LED equivalents? I would assume that the brake and turn lights would appear brighter to the people behind me. Ideally, I wouldn't need to use any resistors or the like to make it work. Possible?

Putting LED bulbs into a housing that isn't designed for them will yield you bad lighting in some cases. I wouldn't replace tails & brakes with LED. Replacing turns may cause a fast blink.
