so as many of you know catback exhaust dont really do much other than change the sound. the only reason they change the sound is because they have different mufflers. so.... im in the market for some new sound and i was thinking that i should just get a new muffler and install it. i have access to a full workshop so installation is not a problem. i will also do the lunchbox delete mod too.

i was browsing around and i found a company called spin tech mufflers they look pretty neat and they are relatively cheap. 79.50$ i was wondering if anyone has heard of these guys. here is the link.

the one im looking at is the 2.25 center-2.25 center one the only thing that puzzles me is the dimensions 4inx6inx9in which seems a little small to me seeing as tho the stock mufflers are huge!!!!

also im looking at the 6in round magnaflow mufflers 2.25 inlet and outlet. they have a 14in one and a 18in one. prices are 69.95 and 77.95 respectively.

i would love a borla muffler but im not really ready to shell out 150$ for one of those sexy beasts.

so i was wondering what are everyone's thoughts on replacing mufflers on the svt. isnt the tubing a weird ass size like 2.26 or something? will that cause a problem? i know a couple of guys on here have replaced mufflers.

SVT exhaust is larger than that muffler.
Well, not that much, but it is 2.28" (58mm).

Er man. I knew it was something weird like that. I thought there were a few svt guys that have managed to do this.

i know of people that do the lunchbox delete and just run a straight pipe and that will add some sound, or wait until CFM gets some ORP and HFC's back in stock, those are probably the best bang for you buck
