One bolt on the inside clamps the steering column.

Ok, so first step is to take all of the bolts underneath off and lower the subframe down with a jack, and THEN as a second step you disconnect the steering column? Normally he has been able to find youtube videos, but the few he has found on this skip past taking the actual bolts off in the videos......

No!! You access the steering shaft bolt from the inside of the car 1st! Make sure the steering wheel is locked straight ahead.

This is the only connection between the rack and the steering column. Everything else drops with the rack.

Nothing else is removed from the steering column either. Very simple.
