I just bought a 2002 SVT a few weeks ago and it has decals all up the side of the car. I would like to remove them but not sure what the best way is. I went to a local auto parts store and they said to use toothpaste, has anybody ever tryed this, or know of any other way to get them off.

I used to have Vinals all the why down and They had to grid them off and I got a new paint job!

As for the toothpaste, yes it can be used to get of glue, grime, and even paint from car door dings. But it can and probably will dull the paint. It's a good solution small scale, but I wouldn't do it to remove a lot of decals.
