I'm putting together a parts order for a rear brake job that includes new spindles. RockAuto only offers the Dorman spindle at this time, so I'm buying those. Does anyone know if the rear wheel seal is already on the spindle, or do I need to buy that separately? The seals are available from SKF for $15 each, so if I don't need them I'd like to leave those out. Part numbers are:

Dorman 905300 (spindle)
SKF 15666 (wheel seal)

New guy here and I'm lost why everyone replaces spindles when they do the rear brakes. Does it wear out some how? It's just a slug of iron, isn't it?

Yep, I don't change them either unless damage of some sort. Never have. Same with brake drums with pressed in bearings, still running on originals after pressing bearings in myself. Some cannot do that though.

Spindle clearly has seal on it...............

Thanks for the link to better pictures. I'm in the rust belt and want to refresh all the parts. Most are reverting to the ore state, and another winter is nigh upon us.
