Well, I know this is no big deal, but I just wanted to throw out a picture of my new rear stress bar from FocusSport.

Hi Carl, easy install - once you get the tires off and out of the way so you can get the bolts in easier. [:D]

And to answer loudfocus1 - YES, my wife and I just got back for our first drive in it since the install and she loves my nice new tight ass. [histerical] Her words, not mine.

I have H&R coilovers on it and it does seem to me that it has smoothed out some of the harshness of those. My wife swears it did for sure, at least on the passenger side. [;)]

EDIT: Carl, you mentioned the front one - that will be here tomorrow.

Just be careful. I got used to driving with mine in and one day I took it out and reinstalled it but forgot to tighten it all the way. It came loose under a hard turn and I threw the tail end out and almost hit a curb ><

Wow, you're really on top of this Brad. Pretty soon your 08 will be more hooked up than the Focus Sport STC car. Just make sure too keep posting up pics because I do soooo enjoy looking at your FoFo's progress. Good luck with all your future mods.[thumb]

Thank you gentleman, I'm having a blast with my Focus and with all of you here on FF. I've had the pleasure of meeting some of you personally and to date there hasn't been a jerk in the lot. Well, except for maybe whoever put the cucumber juice in my drink at our G2G - but hey that's in another thread somewhere.

My new Steeda Black Chrome-moly Tubular Strut Tower Brace (that's a mouth full, gotta love cut and paste) is due to arrive tomorrow and I'll of course post some pics of that too.

I was actually surprised by the beefiness of the FocusSport rear stress bar. For some reason I was expecting a little smaller diameter, in this case you can't deny that bigger is better. [cool]

Oh and I don't need to forget to tighten the bar to hit a curb. I made a last second decision to turn onto this street last week and smacked the most ragged curb, at least I think it was a curb - didn't go back and look, and I actually ripped a hole in the sidewall of one of my brand new (6k miles) Pirelli tire - no joke. [slap] On the bright side, I now know for sure that my "low tire pressure" sensors work just fine. [giggle]

After a few days of driving around with this, yep it definitely helped. I've heard others complain that the H&R coilovers ride harsh. While it never was bone shattering but true not the smoothest ride in town. The rear stress bar, and I wasn't expecting this at all, actually did take the harness out of the ride.

I've also installed a front tower brace since the rear bar, but we (my wife and I) noticed the difference as soon as the rear bar was installed.
