3M Weatherstrip Adhesive works there provided the vinyl has not shrunk up enough to not stretch back where it should be. If you force it you may well tear it.

Thank you. Wasn't sure if folks had success using a little heat to make it pliable as well.

Might work while doing the work but once it cools the return to original condition may tear it. Vinyl is funny stuff, it is a oily base plastic (they all are technically but some far more than others) and it loses those oils with age to become much easier to tear as it loses elasticity, heat would temporarily bring as least part of that back but stretched it might tear as soon as the heat went away. Commonly with age the vinyl does not stretch back as far as before.

Luck doing it if that is where you go......

I did this on another car. DO NOT do it in cold conditions. Take it inside and let the whole panel get warm through and through. GENTLY Peal all the way back to good glue and start your repair there. Whatever brand of adhesive you use, make sure it's thin and lightweight, not RTV or epoxy or you'll get ugly lumps.
