Hi everyone.

I was informed about a week ago that my passenger side rear light on my 200 Focus Diesel was not working, so fair enough thought the bulb had blown and replaced it. Still nothing, thought replacement was faulty so tried again, nothing..... here is confusing bit; the break lights still work when tested which is using the same bulb, I am baffled. All fusses are OK too.

Any help would be very much appreciated [pray]

Cheers guys.

Sounds similar to my problem, but mine was a fuse.
I got pulled over for a brake light so I assumed that was my only problem.
Turned out that my running lights were out on one side.
The running lights are on two serperate fuses, one for each side.

I know you said it wasn't a fuse, but I figured I'd throw that out there anyway.

Thinking about your problem some more.
It could also be a broken wire or a loose ground.
I'd suggest using a multimeter to check to wires.
Check to see if there is voltage on the positive line and make sure the negative line is grounded.

Cheers Dark Fire,

I have been looking at the circuit diagrams and you are right it must be a loose wire as if it was a fuse it would affect more lights. I will have a look at the light unit tomorrow.

Thanks for your help.
