I just need to know how to adjust the rear brakes.
Also the rear drum has a nut holding in place. Is there anything i need to know before removing it.

you use the E brake when you park?
using the ebrake automatically
keeps the drums in proper spec
you shouldn't need to adjust them

I was at the ford dealer getting a oil change when they told me that they needed adjustment.
But for eighty dollars i said no. went for the spoon and got lost. I am a old timer and first new used car in a long time. 1988 was a e150 drinks to much gas. I did not know how simple it would be. To be honest i never use the e brake. I guess i will now.
Also when the time comes i will need to replace the rear drum sooner than later. Is there anything I need to know.

You should certainly find a repair manual for car. Cheap and it will answer most of those questions for you.

well the rears on these dont' wear very much
and you can go through many sets of front brakes
before even needing anything done on the rears
replacing the drums is really easy, use the search button
you need a tool to swap the shoes but that's about it
the dealer took your' drums off during an oil change?
