I was chatting with a friend of mine and we got on the topic of rear brake conversion from ugly drums, to purdy disc.

He mentioned that it is possible to modify rear disc brakes from either a Mystique or Cougar, to fit onto the Focus. To be honest, I wasn't listening all that intently because I was at work, and worried I might get in trouble, ha ha.

Could anybody elaborate upon this, either to clarify it, confirm it, or a brief description of the modifications required? Or perhaps there are other Ford products out there that we can steal rear disc brakes from, other than the SVT Focus.

Thanks. [:)]

Probably won't work

My daughter had a '96 Probe GT B4 her Focus. It had a 5-lug bolt pattern, so you would have to get new hubs / rotors at least. ( I believe the 'standard' Probes had rear drum brakes. The Cougar would be the same at the Probe GT.
