[07_Merlot_SES]

I just purchased an 07 SES Wagon... love it! The only negative is there is no 12V power plug in the rear (rear 12V has pretty well become industry standard!)

Any tips on the best way or place to install one? (BTW... What the heck are those 5" x 5" square covers for in the rear cargo area? Can I safely drill / install a 12V power plug into one of those?)

I have kids and I was thinking of doing the same thing so they could use it to power stuff like interior lighting or DVD player, etc.

I was thinking of buying a 12V plug and drilling a hole in one of the trim pieces in the rear next to their shoulder, then wiring it through the trunk. Although from what I saw, it wouldn't be too hard to run wire underneath the trim on the floor of the car to the front where the fusebox is.
