I recently installed a set of steel wheels with snow tires on my wife's 08 focus. The center hub and castle nut are exposed now and would like to cover them with a metal cap. The rear hub has this center cap.
Does anyone know if the caps from the rear would fit if I got them from Ford? Or is there another alternative and no, I dont want to put plastic wheel covers on. :)

That is the way the steel wheels are. The caps are only on the rear hubs and are a part of the rear drums. The only way to fix your problem is to get plastic hub caps( think you can buy some metal ones). If you don't want the plastic hub caps you can always get new rims for your focus or find stock metal rims.

I got a set of hubcaps from Pep Boys for $26. They don't look too bad, and protect the wheel and lugs from salt damage.
