Is there any difference between a Zetec ZX2 (circa 1998-1999) vs a 2004 ZX3 crankshaft? Are they the same?

I have a 2004 motor that I want to build....and came across a ZX2 crankshaft that had been lightened and balanced....and want to know if it would work in my 2004 motor

Anybody know?

hmm thats interesting. it might fit but you have to worry about the bearings the crank rides on

You do not want to run a Zetec crank that has been "lightened and balanced" the cranks wont take it and you will have issues in the long run , yes they will interchange
