So I bought a deck that only had one RCA for a subwoofer, yet the amp has 2 RCA's right/left or black/white ends... so so i need to buy some sort of a RCA adaptor thats a "Y" to get them to work?? any help, all my decks in the past have had 2 RCAs.

Mabye the new one only needs one? How many subs do you have? Mabye you just need one, try wiring up and see if it works. Mabye you only have a cable for left or right as opposed to both.

well most if not all amp kits come with RCA's that are dual... and the amp has 2 RCA outputs. I dont know, I guess if I have time I can run down to the stereo shop, this project is turning into a P.I.T.A!!!

THe Qlogic box I got is nice, but I dont like how it requires you to Drill the Cover then screw the Sub through the cover into the box, to me that just is asking for an air leak and not sealing very good on the box.

I've never heard of a radio with just 1 Rca cable output like that for a sub output . Call the company that makes it and ask them what the deal is .

I think all my radios have a black and red for the sub output . I do remember a Sony I had that had a black and white for a sub output .

to be honest so far its a nice unit for the money, I paid $298 at walmart for it, the picture quality is great too, and its touch screen. Comes with an Ipod adaptor as well. Nice unit for the coin IMO.

In the instruction booklet that came with my amp, it said if you only have a mono rca out on your head unit, you need a Y adaptor to use both rca plugs on the amp, otherwise you'll only get half the incoming volume and thus half the power output from the amp. Should be able to find a y adaptor on ebay or in a radioshack or something.

Edit: just noticed that reciever has 5.1 outputs for dolby digital, thats freakin awesome.
