i have a 02 zx5... it seems the 05-07 dashes look better and sleeker... and it seems like ford took more care in time to make sure the parts fit together (could be wrong)

are they interchangable?

I have an 02 SVT dash in my 05 ST. They are interchangeable, but you can't change just the cover, you must also change the steel tube frame to which the cover is attached. The major difference is the stereo (HU) and the method which Ford uses to attach it. I still have the complete 05 dash, a few photos of the conversion process, and I would be happy to walk you through the rough spots. Good luck.
