I recently put on[:)]kyb[:)]agx on the front of my svt, it has the frpp springs all the way around with the stock svt shocks and[:)]stuts. At first when i put them on i forgot to put the[:)]bumpstops[:)]on the new struts and i was bottoming out over any slight change in the road and it also lowered the front about 1/4 inch in the front. I finally figured out that i didnt have the[:)]bumpstops[:)]on and put them on asap. After putting them on i was checking everything and found out that the strut is sitting on the[:)]bumpstop. Has anyone else had this problem, any info or help is appreciated because i want the suspension to act the way its supposed to and not bouncing on the stops.

If your running the frpp's springs= 1.5'' you shouldn't have any issues w/ the bump stops or crashing down on them. If you could see how much travel you have w/o the dust boots on you'll see you have more then enough. Replacing your svt struts w/ agx's won't change the ride height.

The dust boots are not installed, the only thing changed in this were the struts, when i installed the struts on the car without the bumpstops on it physically lowered the car, i know this is a fact because i couldnt even fit a finger between the wheel and fender when i could before, i would rub bad going around turns as well when i wouldnt before. When i would go over even small bumps the strut was bottoming out with a hard and loud slamming noise,, i know this is a fact because when i took the strut off the paint was scratched off where it was contacting the strut bearing. After taking the struts off and installing the bumpstops it cured almost everything, no more strut bottoming out so no more slamming sounds, it raised the car back up so that there is enough gap between wheel and fender to stick a finger between which aslo makes it not rub around turns. Now the issue is that why would the stops raise the car and cure those problems if the car is not sitting on them?

And im aware that the struts wouldnt change the ride height, im trying to figure out why the bumpstops did.

bump stops? Are we referring to the same part?

Bumps stops only job is to limit travel and to prevent a jarring contact of a fully compressed suspension on the suspension pieces and unibody. They have zero effect on ride height. Its not uncommon to trim them to give your suspension more travel but its not going to change the static ride height
