I've got a couple questions about the Powerworks tuning.

First, do they have timing retards or torque retards(not sure what the proper term is) that come into play after shifting gears? This is on a Zetec 5 speed car.

Second, I've heard that Powerworks leaves the adaptive learning on. I've got a race header on the car, and a O2 cheater. What, if anything, will the ECU do if it recognizes that the cat is inefficient(because of not being there)? I mean can it negatively affect the tune or what?

1) dont think so

2) I have a 4-1 race header with no cat, and Im one of the lucky ones that dont get the MIL light withiout the 02 cheater. As far as affecting the tune, it shouldnt. The PW tune is notoriously rich anyway, so I always recommend getting a dyno tune with ANY form of forced induction.
