Everytime i open my sunroof all the way back and then try to close it, it comes almost all the way closed and then opens up again. I have to try and close it 3 times and hold the button in at the same time to get it to close.Once i get it to stop goin back by itself it still leaves a gap and i have to keep tappping the button until i get it to close the rest of the way. Not sure what the problem is any help would be nice.

This is a common problem, there is a force sensor so the roof will not crush you if it is closed on a body part. If the roof is not operating smoothly it will "bounce back" My fix, open the roof and from the outside with a wet cloth clean the dirt out of the sun roof tracks.

In the owners manual 2004, (page 58) it tells you how to make the sun roof relearn. I had the same issue a couple of years ago and this relearn procedure works all the time for me.

Mine did that, needed the tracks cleaned- yay pin oaks.

My 04 SVT Focus is doing the same thing, I hope the "relearning will work and not create another problem.
