Trying to settle an argument and maybe some of you can help. With the Focus electrical system stock and replacing the battery with an Optima Red Top, will the Alternator hold up to 750 watts. Some kid says that it won't and I may be slipping, but I am sure it will do this with out a problem.

Let me know.

well alts aren't rated by watts, tehy are rated by output amps, so it depends at what ampege the power is at. i can pretty much guarentee that it can handle it though. and if you upgrade the "magic 3" wiring sizes (alt to positve psot, chassis to neg post and engine block to chassis) you can handle more. I pull about 750 watts with my 2 amps along with an aftermarket hu, digital eq, etc etc, but i upgraded the wiring too.
