I may end up having to do the beltline, though I was kinda hoping to keep it chrome...

Your not that far from me, I am just down the road in Garner/Clayton area. I like the way you did your taillights, I may have to look at something very similar for my ride.

You are only about an hour away-ish. I'm on the Raeford side of Fayettenam...

I think you'll pull off the tails better than I considering you have Tuxedo Black. My buddy has a Tuxedo Black hatch and we occasionally compare notes (its actually his wifes and will see no mods [mecry])

I like your stripes!

Red Candy Titanium

So far I've done...

Thule AeroBlades
2x Thule Peloton bike racks
PlastiDip chrome waist trim, chrome grille strips, and 18" rims
VHT Nite-Shades tail lights and mirror turn signals

Still need to PlastiDip fog light bezels and buff out the clear on the tails. Work in progress. Little dirty and lots of bug matter, needs a wash, but waiting for paint to cure.

How did you intall the bike carriers on the aeroblades? can you post close-up pics? I ordered my car with this roof rack and I´ve been wondering how to install my Thule Echelon fork mount racks into these bars (I have the basic square bars on my current car)

I really like this! After seeing yours, I had to see those wheels on my SGM.

Ok so I did the taillights this evening, and they don't look to bad, I'll post some pics tomorrow after I get home from work.

Ok, so I Plasti-Dipped my taillights last night. I don't think they turned out all that bad. However, I did not like the flat look, so I took a soft cloth and applied some tire shine by Armor All and low-and-behold! it gave it a really nice shine. I did do some other testing over the weekend and found that you can use standard spray paint on the "dipped" area and still peel it off with no bleed through or getting to the cars surface. So now on to the pics.

There ya go, let me know what ya think. The next thing I may try is to get a can of touch up spray paint, from a auto parts store and try to somewhat match the factory black. Wish me luck!![headbang]

@Rocker

That looks so much better on the sedan! It also works really well with the tuxedo black. Mine are so tall and seem out of place to me. I'm going to give it a week and go from there. I'm pretty sure that in the end I am also going to leave the rear side markers too...I'll edit a pic in as a rough example tonight.

Do you intend on putting eyelids on that will cover the front markers?

Edit: Here's the rough idea of what I was initially going for to keep some side reflector-

Car looks great! Except for the lights. I don't understand why people are covering the lights. I think the red contrasts really nicely with the black. Adds a bit of color to the picture.

I really like what you did with the side of the car!! Looks sick!

I am still not sure if I really like the looks of the lights yet, I am going to leave it on for a few days to see if it grows on me.
