Found a 2004 on Facebook this morning. 1 owner. 170k miles. Runs and drives good, cold ac, new clutch. $1400. I didn't take a picture of the engine. Timing belt was supposedly done at the same time the clutch was done but I will pull the timing cover this weekend and check it out.

Swapped EAP wheels off my other 04. Gave it a bath. Fixed leaking vacuum line. Cleared codes. Drive 38 miles to work. Runs smooth. Off to the paint shop next Friday hopefully.

I keep looking at this... Great find! (y)
The clear coat is peeling on 80% of the hood. 20% front fenders. Top of drivers door. Car looks great from 50 feet away. I still have the black EE trim I bought last memorial day. Suspension is rebuilt. It was ready for the body shop when I saw this one.

Good inexpensive transportation and/or an awesome project car. These cars are in that shape are rare and becoming classics! I would not give a second thought about picking up that car at that price.

This one will get restored. My black 04 EAP will be getting new axles tomorrow. That will leave coolant hoses and a new fan to finish up the mechanicals on it.

Timing belt looks newish. Nice and pliable with no cracks. I'm finding nothing but Motorcraft parts. Looks like I have an upper oil pan leak.

Looks like the front seal may be leaking as well. Going to take it to the muffler shop and get the cat bolts cut off. I have no way to do it here.

Buttoned it back up. Found a couple of bad coolant hoses. Thermostat housing is leaking. I put a new valve cover and passenger side engine mount. Steady drip coming out of the oil pan right below the crank pulley. Tried copper sparkplugs but it didn't like it so I put the platinum plugs back in. Not going to drive it again until I replaced the 2 rotten hoses.
