hi, i have a 2004 focus. i was told that my brake light wasnt working so changed the bulb and thought the problem was solved easily enough but it seems the brake light works ok but when head /side lights are on it flickers on and off when i brake ???? any advice is greatly appreciated

Have someone help you here. Check the voltage at the socket when the headlights are on. See what your voltage is.

Flickering is often caused by a broken wire or loose ground connection. People often find broken wires at the hatch where the wires go from the body through a rubber boot. Could also be a burned socket that is not making good connection to the bulb.

Right underneath the tail light assembly, where the wires go into the cabin, is a common spot for wires to become bare, and touch metal. Just another thought.
