buy some adhesion promoter, and the finish color and clear coat. also will need 800 - 1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper and some house hold degreaser (like TSP)

step 1: clean with degreaser.
Step 2: sand
step 3: prime multiple light coats
step 4: base coat with color multiple light coats again
step 5: sand lightly
step 6: clear coat multiple light coats (sand between coats lightly)

follow all the instructions on the cans for recoat windows and dry times

go to any autoparts store and get dulpicolor paints. they will also have sandpaper and cleaners

I would use a high-heat paint that way you won't have to worry about it under the hood because it does get quite hot in there.

If it's full intake piping have it powder coated. Well worth it and lasts way longer for a decent price. Otherwise if it's the small metal thing with the S then do as norcal said.

Yea if you decide to paint it and not powder coat it...some paints have a higher temp rating. You do not necessarly have to purchase a high temp paint. Id recommend it though. Ive had the paint boil right off.
