This vacuum line came off while I was changing the alternator (2nd time in 2 months [rant] )

It is from the canister purge value located on the back of the firewall.

Can't tell or see where it is supposed to go. Sticker on the hood sez 'main vacuum'...uh...yeah...WhereTF is that?

Sorry, been a long night & a weekend of auto work on various vehicles.

The more I work on this 2003 Ford Focus ZTW (which had eaten 4 - count 'em 4 alternators since we bought it brand new), the more I like my 'no-frills' '91 Geo Metro hatchback commuter car.
The Ford is the wife's car.

Fixed - a guy up the street has an 03 Focus SE wagon - I stopped & we chatted. I located where the vacuum line goes.

It's his father's car and they had the same problem with the alternator wiring - except with their, the wiring caught fire.[ohcrap]

Ya, I think I'll replace the alternator pigtail before I let the wife drive it.

...or we might just trade it in at CarMax and get her Honda CRV or RAV 4
