No idle , very low rough idle sometimes comes back and CEL light on. If I replace IAC will this go away?

Read the code first, you may have this:

P1504 - Idle Air Control (IAC) Circuit Malfunction

This DTC is set when the PCM detects an electrical load failure on the IAC output circuit.

IAC circuit open
VPWR to IAC solenoid open
IAC circuit short to PWR
IAC circuit short to GND
Damaged IAC valve
Damaged PCM


The IAC solenoid resistance is from 6 to 13 ohms.


Probably the IAC, but it could also be a problem with the wiring to the IAC.

Removed IAC cleaned and reinstalled .......same problem ......gonna buy a new one and cross fingers. If it is the wiring or something else what should I do? Also is there a gasket as well ?
