My focus lx has been overheating, i had the thermostat replaced, and now the coolant recovery tank has a a leak so its still overheating. im in the process of getting that replaced, but im wondering if that is whats making it overheat or if its something else. someone please help me!

It is possible that the leak in your overflow tank is leading to some of the overheating. Not only because it is letting out coolant, but also because the system can't pressurize properly. This means that it can boil and introduce air into the system.

I'm sure it is. I fixed a Taurus a few weeks ago that started peeing from the cap. a new bottle fixed it.
