I met a guy at an scca event we got the same work station. Chatting while chasing cones came to find out he had owned an svt before selling it and getting a fox body. And he had experience making custom exhausts.
Well I've been searching for a non svt orp and unless you go to a non CARB header they just don't exist.
I don't have a ton of time on my hands with 4 kids so when it comes time to smog swapping in my cat is about all I want to deal with. I have an eo for my blower + a little fuel additive and it passes.
I bought some ones used rusted up cat off bst to use as a template and this is what he did with it.
This is what it sounds like before/after
Orp is 2.5" flanges are original, then I'm 3" the rest of the way back.
I didn't do a baseline because I didn't really think about it but my car was not getting above 200bhp before and now it is (per scan gauge). Butt dyno: it feels a bit stronger off the line. Once I hit boost (3k ish) I don't feel a huge difference but that's not to say it isn't there.
So this is the only non ca approved part on my car and it's hidden under the factory heat shield.
