I've seen that basic spot that people on the Zetec motor put a oil return on the pan with a bung welded on, but I've also seen some people have the oil return on the windage tray. If anyone has some pics of where they put it on the windage tray that would be great.

Wouldnt you prefer the oil return to be in the pan so that it could be as low as possible?

i know what you are talking about, i have also seen them in the windage tray, never really understood why. to me the pan makes more sense.

What kind of fitting did you use on the windage tray part. Looks like you didn't tap any threads for the hole.

i used a -10an fitting on the new one and yes i tapped it. how can you even see the threads to tell that?
